..to PPL's Pictures of YesterYear Archive - a large collection of historic images covering life and times from the late 1800s. The library includes the famous archives of Sussex photographer Walter Gardiner, motoring specialist CK Bower, Tony Boxall's Gipsy and Romany pictures, as well as those of sailing pioneers like Francis Chichester, Robin Knox-Johnston, Chay Blyth and Joshua Slocum. We also have a fast growing archive of traditional crafts and industry that include a large collection of early inland waterway pictures, together with a collection of fine art illustrations and engravings.

The pictures are available as sepia or black and white prints to decorate homes and themed pubs, restaurants and hotels, as well as high resolution digital files for use in editorial and advertising features.

Reproduction quality digital files are available from previews to cover and double page spreads. Larger files or transparencies are available on request. If you are unable to find quite the right picture on-line, call or E.mail PPL and we will glady send you a wider selection.
